Is one purchase valid for both Mac and iPad?
Yes. Draw 2026 (com.ambelvijay.draw) is a Universal Purchase on the App Store. Buy it once and install it on both your Mac and iPad signed into the same Apple Account.
How do navigation and Apple Pencil work on iPad?
Use Apple Pencil to draw and interact with modeling tools; Pencil hover previews exact inference snaps before you touch the glass. Use fingers to navigate: 1-finger drag orbits, 2-finger drag pans, and pinch zooms. Tap with 2 fingers to Undo, 3 fingers to Redo, and 4 fingers to toggle full-canvas immersion.
Which CAD and 3D file formats are supported?
Draw 2026 saves native models as .dwr files and opens, imports, and exports AutoCAD DWG (2000, 2004, 2010, 2013, and 2018 releases with layers and blocks), COLLADA (.dae), Wavefront OBJ with .mtl materials, Pixar USDZ, and 3D Studio (.3ds).
How do I use the Transform Gizmo and numeric measurements?
Select any object or light and enable Gizmo in the bottom status bar to translate along an axis, slide across a plane, rotate, or scale directly in the viewport. While drawing or transforming, type exact metric dimensions (e.g. 4.5,3.2 for rectangle width and depth, or 2.8 for extrusion height) and press Return.
How does GPU Ray Tracing work in Render Mode?
Click the Render button in the top toolbar (View › Render Mode). While orbiting, Draw shows a real-time shaded preview with textures, ambient occlusion, and soft shadows. When the camera comes to rest on a Mac with Apple silicon, progressive GPU ray tracing refines soft sun shadows, sky light, and indirect bounce lighting up to 1,024 passes.
Where are my models stored?
Wherever you choose in Finder or the iPadOS Files app, including iCloud Drive. Draw 2026 never uploads your work to external servers. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
